General Recommendations
Many problems with missing from fields, buttons that do not function, server error messages or other page display issues are caused by your browser or browser extensions. Here are some things to try:
- Disable ad-blockers or any other browser extensions. You can try browsing in a private window to do this:
- Make sure your browser is a current version of Chrome or Firefox.
- Check your browser settings to make sure both JavaScript and cookies are enabled.
- Clear your browser’s cache. Here are instructions on clearing your cache in Chrome or Firefox.
- Check our system requirements to ensure you meet our browser, computer, and mobile requirements.
Clear Browser Cookies
Sometimes the platform pushes out changes that may affect how the applications work. If you’re having issues with Cross-Origin Resources Sharing (CORS) when looking at the browser console messages then it’s most likely that your cookies need to be refreshed. Follow the steps below for our recommended browsers to reset your cookies.
Most sites have the following cookies. Please make sure to delete them all if you’ve ever gone to these applications. The majority of users would have gone to the MFE and LMS applications. Only delete the Studio applications if you’re editing courses.
- Microsite Frontend (MFE): apps.courses.domain.com
- Learning Management System (LMS): courses.domain.com
- Studio (CMS): studio.courses.domain.com
2. Go to Settings > Privacy and security.
3. Click Clear browsing data.
4. Choose a Time range (e.g., “All time”).
5. Check Cookies and other site data.
6. Click Clear data.
2. Select Settings > Privacy & Security.
3. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data.
4. Click Clear Data….
5. Check Cookies and Site Data.
6. Click Clear.
2. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
3. Set a Time range (e.g., “All time”).
4. Check Cookies and other site data.
5. Click Clear now.
2. Click the Privacy tab.
3. Click Manage Website Data….
4. Click Remove All to delete all cookies or select individual sites.
5. Confirm by clicking Remove Now.
